We help Odoo partners grow

We have you covered, whether you are just starting, or you already deliver Odoo implementations.

Considering becoming an Odoo partner?

You had a chance to see the Odoo demo or maybe you took a couple of hours to play around on a demo instance. But where to start?

How to assess whether the Odoo partnership is the right way for you? You will need to find answers to a lot of important questions:

  • Does it even make sense to become an Odoo partner, business-wise?
  • Are you not sure what are the pros & cons of becoming an Odoo partner?
  • How to set up your business model?
  • What kind of internal capacities do you need to build?

Also, onboarding your team of consultants, analysts, project managers & developers to a new system is never an easy task - and you will for sure need good, experienced guidance to progress quickly and effectively.

Starting with your first implementations?

You already know Odoo theoretically - you went through the e-learning, saw all the videos with Amy, and you got your first leads.

However, how to sell your first implementation & where to even start? There are several keys, how to succeed in getting & delivering your first client:

  • Setting a well-thought sales process & learn how to do a stunning demo
  • Learn how to do sufficient pre-implementation business analysis
  • Creating a good implementation methodology

We can help you build these processes, knowledge & documentation, so you do not need to reinvent the wheel.

Already established partner - from great to awesome

Are you already successfully delivering Odoo implementations? Would you like to deliver more of them, learn how to do different types of projects, or just scale up your Odoo implementation partner faster?

It is not possible to do that, without the following steps:

  • Nurture your Odoo & technical knowledge
  • Build & train a strong team - do not rely only on a few capable individuals
  • Prepare a great onboarding program to speed up the learning curve of the newcomers
  • Improve your implementation methodology to avoid any potential risks

Frequently asked questions (FAQs)

We are very flexible and always try to provide whatever is currently needed by the Odoo partner.

Some are happy to simply get in touch with us whenever they face a complex functional issue and get help. Others are trying to get into the Odoo implementation business and prefer to have weekly calls to discuss and review methodology, deliverables and train their team. Or if you just want to have a non-comittal call and see if we can help you in any other way, let's get in touch.

We always prefer to deliver on a time&material basis and we use Odoo to  transparently report all the activities delivered and time spent. Additionally, we always want to make sure we provide added-value, so do not expect us to become part of your regular delivery team, but we want to make sure the knowledge and results you gain from us are something that will push your forward through whatever challenge you are facing.

It is not an easy decision!

Many implementation partners fail, without even making it to the "Ready" partner. However, depending on the country, it is always possible to evaluate the market potential and size, explore the competition, define your initial target group and estimate the resources (both financial and human) and time necessary to deliver your first implementation.

And from there, decide if an opportunity is worth taking or not. And if you are still not sure it makes sense, we are happy to share our experience with you, to see if the opportunity is the right one for you.

Congratulations on making the first step.

And the next steps all depend on your vision and ambition - would you rather start slow and build yourself up from smaller projects, or are you willing to take the risk and go big from the beginning?

In any case, what you need is a solid sales and marketing strategy, value proposition, implementation methodology and most of all - people. As Odoo implementation business is essentially a people business,  the key to success is the training of your team. This can be approached from technical, functional or soft-skill perspective, but you need to make sure that whatever customer you will land, you will have the resources and competencies to deliver a quality result.

Or do you feel something is missing? Then contact us so we can help you fill in the gaps.

Truth be told, without previous experience, it is extremely difficult to provide reliable estimations for implementations.

Especially since some companies prefer time&material delivery model, while some prefer fixed price model. But the key is to understand what customer needs. If you understand well enough what the customer needs and why, then to figure out and decide which of the needs can be covered by default Odoo and which of them must be custom-developed is the key to successful estimation.

But only experience makes perfect - and we are happy to provide our experience for you to make sure your quote will be a reliable one.

The beauty of working with Odoo is that there is a huge number of publicly available resources - from official Odoo tutorials, through youtube channels and blogs of other implementation partners, up to Odoo app store and forums.

However, to go through them all can consume large amount of time and in the end there will always be a customer for whom you will have to figure out the right solution on your own. If you have invested enough time to understand the basics of Odoo, you should be able to use configuration of each Odoo app and its main master data sets to figure out what can you show within base Odoo.

And if something is missing? Then there is Odoo Studio or Odoo technical settings (see developer mode), which allow you to add various things. From the beginning, it will be more of a trial-error approach, there's no way to avoid it, but you will see which solutions will work.

And if you feel really stuck - write us. We will be happy to help you figure out what can be handled within base Odoo, or how to handle requests and configuration, which requires custom development.

An odoo implementation is usually a set of 3 knowledge bases - the business knowledge (understanding customer industry and processes), the Odoo knowledge (both functional and technical) and the delivery knowledge (implementation methodology and communication).

It is very easy to miss an important element in either of these areas, but if you look at the implementation from this perspective, you should be able to figure out in which area do you have weaknesses, and from there, find out how to mitigate them (or even turn them to your strengths).

However, an external point of view can always come in handy - reach us in case you believe an extra set of eyes can help you identify what to improve (and how).

There is a great variety of Odoo partners on the market.

From singular freelancers/business owners, to small teams of a few people, divided by expertise, and, ultimately, the large implementation partners with sizeable teams, delivering hundreds of projects. For as long as you know where do you want to get, it is always possible to find a way how to get there - although if you have been working for a long time as a small team and then decide to grow to a major implementation partner, more than a few changes will be needed.

Large implementation partners need to rely on efficient recruitment, mastering their onboarding and training programmes and scale up their internal processes to be as standardized and streamlined as possible.

If this transformation seems daunting, know that you are not alone in it - and if you would like, us from Edoo can help you make it through.
